Through the Viewfinder

My interest in photography has taken a rather unexpected turn lately. I've been quite interested in reading about all the latest kit, potential future purchases in both lenses and SLR bodies, so it's perhaps rather odd that the one thing that joining my local Flickrmeet, here in Birmingham has got me interested in is using vintage bits of kit to achieve strange effects.

A week or two later, and I'm the proud owner of a Kodak Duaflex camera, allegedly from the 1940's (though Ebay said that they couldn't vouch for its authenticity). Nevertheless, it's small, cube-shaped, and very cool. Coupled with a bit of cardboard and masking tape, it turns into a rather wonderful contraption, inspired by these guys, especially Pete Ashton and Stef Lewandowski. This reflection shot is one of my first attempts.

Anyway, quick post, but I'm off to Wales this weekend, so expect to see more!
